Foundational coach training and advanced trainings using Internal Family Systems

Since 2018 I have had the honor of working with Guthrie Sayen to offer coaches, therapists, and other healing practitioners intimate trainings grounded in his Coaching with Spirit model and the psycho-spiritual model, Internal Family Systems.

We have co-founded the Institute for Healing and Awakening to continue our mission. Our trainings take coaches and other practitioners on a personal journey of healing and awakening so they can facilitate that in others.

The trainings simultaneously provide professional skills and evolutionary experiences to support students in working with innate confidence and creativity. That is what sets our coaches apart.

Trainings Offered

Coaching with Spirit: Co-Creating Healing and Awakening — January 2025

An ICF-accredited Level 1 training focused on developing proficiency in the fundamental skills and methods of a professional coach.

A eight-month training that meets 3 days per month.

Coaching with IFS 1 — April 2025

A basic training for using Internal Family Systems to co-create healing and awakening.

A nine-month program that meets two days per month. (ICF 40 CCEs)

IFS Consultation Group — January 2025

A forum for IFS Practitioners to continue their learning, get their challenging questions answered and participate in community.

A six month program that meets twice a month for 90 minutes including live demos and Q&A.

Coaching with IFS 2 — Coming in 2026

An advanced training for using Internal Family Systems to co-create healing and awakening.

A nine-month program that meets two days per month. (40 CCEs)

What Makes the Institute for Healing and Awakening Unique?

  • We see ourselves as spiritual beings who are part of a larger, conscious spiritual whole that integrates all living systems here and elsewhere in the cosmos. We support the natural evolution of consciousness as we move into a new paradigm for human functioning.

Meet Guthrie Sayen, PhD, PCC

Guthrie trains coaches and other practitioners worldwide in Internal Family Systems. He co-created and co-led Coaching for Self-Leadership, which was offered through the IFS Institute and had more than one thousand participants. He created and leads Parts Work, a yearlong training in IFS. He created and leads Coaching with Spirit, an accredited coaching training program, and Coaching with IFS, a series of trainings for beginning, intermediate, and advanced practitioners. He is a Level-3 trained IFS practitioner and has studied extensively with IFS founder Dick Schwartz.

Meet Barti BOURGAULT, MA, PCC

Barti has been supporting Coaching with Spirit and Coaching with IFS trainings as Program Director, Trainer, and Mentor Coach since 2018. In addition, she offers individual coaching, mindfulness classes, and mentoring through her private practice. She guides clients on the path of healing and awakening to facilitate lasting change.

She is a former member of the ICF New England Board of Directors, is a Certified Mindfulness Teacher, and has her Masters in Consciousness Studies.
